Educational-preventive workshop in the context of the social work supervision

The mental health of social workers is an important aspect for the professional performance of this profession. This article presents  why reflection on one's own motivation to engage in this professional activity should serve as a preventive factor to avoid problematic dimensions in the social worker's behavior and condition the professional provision of this work. The concept of helpers syndrome is presented, as well as an important study with social work supervisors on this topic. With these elaborations, the concept of an educational-preventive workshop for social work students was created, which serves to develop self-awareness and attempts to prevent possible conflicts in the future.
